MacroSource has grown from its beginnings in 1987, when ConAgra acquired the US based United Agri Products (UAP) retailer and began fertilizer operations. Over the years, MacroSource has refined the focus of our business model through acquisitions, divestitures and organic growth, that has expanded our footprint to cover supply & trading in all major global markets.

ConAgra acquires Woodward & Dickerson’s fertilizer business and international sales network

ConAgra forms ConAgra International

ConAgra establishes Pacifex de S.A. de C.V., a fertilizer distribution company in Mexico

Gavilon acquires Conagra Trade Group’s fertilizer and grain platform

Gavilon establishes Gavilon South Africa Pty Ltd, a fertilizer distribution company in South Africa

Gavilon acquires DeBruce Companies

Gavilon establishes Gavilon Perú SRL, a fertilizer company in Peru

Marubeni acquires Gavilon

microSource, LLC is created as the specialty manufacturing arm of Gavilon Fertilizer
